A Social Media Blogger’s Wonderful Christmas List

Christmas time is almost here and I’m already excited to see what’s under the tree! Since I joined the blogging world back in September it seems like everyday I have something new to add to my infinitely long wishlist so I thought I would take you on a little window shopping spree with me!

My Christmas List

This post may contain affiliate links, which means I receive a commission if you make a purchase using these links.

  1. Genesis Framework– Not too long after I started blogging I kept hearing about this framework and how it does all of these cool things. Genesis is a parent theme by Studiopress and promises to “take your WordPress to places you never thought it could go”. Genesis runs about $59.95 but you can add in child theme (think the styling of your blog) for about $99.95. Keeping readers on your site is so important to things like your Google Analytics so this is #1 on my list for 2020.
  2. Meet Edgar– I tried Meet Edgar a few months ago and really loved it but the price point is too much for me right now to justify the expense. Meet Edgar is a social media scheduler but where it sets itself apart from apps like Buffer and HootSuite is that it is a never-ending queue so as long as you fill it up, you don’t have to worry about spending hours scheduling your Facebook and Twitter accounts.
  3. Haute Chocolate Photos– I found this site off of Pinterest and aren’t they awesome pictures? I have written before on the importance of awesome graphics here and what I love about these pictures is that they are modern and feminine which match my brand perfectly.
  4. Never Eat Alone – I love reading and my business coach, Amy Schmittauer talks about this book all the time. The book focuses on networking which is the backbone of any blogging business.
  5. My Own Hashtag Sign– The Great Sue B makes these and they are your own personalized hashtag sign that you can use a backdrop in your own videos. Nothing cooler than that right?
  6. Video Tripod System, Cayer BV30L 72 inch– Video is a priority for me next year and I just got my first DSLR camera for Christmas- so a tripod is next on the list.
  7. Audio-Technica AT875R – With my video goal I also need a good mic to go on my camera. I have heard this one is excellent.
  8. Olloclip– Upping my photo game is also on my 2020 list and I have heard this is excellent for on the go pics.
  9. Audio-Technica ATR2100X-USB USB/XLR Microphone – this is the mic I have my eye on for things like podcasting. It sounds awesome!
  10. A Professional Blog Design- this is kind of my dream blogger present because I’m still in the early stages of blogging but would love to have a brand that is uniquely me :)

I also would like to give a big shout out to Allison of Wonderlass- the picture above is part of a free styled stock photo giveaway she has on her blog right now- so go grab you some. You can do that here :)

So that’s my big Christmas list- what’s on your list? What are you eyeing for your blog in 2020? I hope you all have a merry Christmas and I’m looking forward to planning out 2020 with you all next week!

By Alissia Haggard

Hi and thanks for checking out the blog! My name is Alissia (that’s my husband Aren on the right) and I am the stay at home mom of 2 boys. Staying at home for the past few years led me to explore options on making money at home without having to go back to work which led me to a home based business.

Working a home based business with 2 young kids at home isn’t always the easiest thing to do. You can do a lot of home parties/vendor events/networking groups but hey life gets in the way right?

Over the past year, I have been training with several mentors which led me to create this site for anyone like me- people driven to entrepreneurship for whatever reason and what I want to do is help you in that journey.

So much of the home-based business industry gets a bad reputation for the actions of a few and it keeps a lot of other people away from anything home-based thinking they have to spam their family and friends, get left in the No Friends Left Club or sacrifice time away from their family to find success.

Here at the Stay At Home Mompreneur you will find tips and tricks to help you ROCK your business and grow your following while building your business. I want to share timesavers that are working for me (and what’s not working for me). I also want to share tips for the moms on how to find work/life balance while raising your kids.

Glad you’re here and the best is yet to come!
